Littlejohn enrages nation with shit pop culture reference

However I think in Brown’s head McIntyre was charging at the police line waving a mace over his head shouting “Get some, Pigs!” while sabres, attached to his chair wheels were spinning ready to cut the shins off anyone in the way.

There’s a rule among script writers not to include too many poplar culture references, as it can date a speech almost immediately. To a lesser extent the same can be said for TV Shows, look at ‘The Young ones’.

However sadly the same cannot be said for “journalists” or even Richard Littlejohn.

Littlejohn has managed to enrage practically everyone today after his column features a small segment on the case of Jody McIntyre. A disabled man who was dragged from his wheelchair at last weeks Demonstration. Not content with doing that he then proceeded to use a pop culture reference that wasn’t even funny when the show ended years ago.

Jody Mcintyre is like Andy from Little Britain.

‘Where do you want to go today, Jody?’

‘Riot.’

‘Are you sure? Wouldn’t you rather go to hear Bob Crow speak at the Methodist Central Hall. You like Bob Crow.’

‘Yeah, I know.’

‘So, we’ll go there, eh?’

‘Riot!’

‘Ken Livingstone will be there, too. He’s your favourite.’

‘Riot!’

‘All right, then.’

Five minutes later at the riot . . .

‘Don’t like it.’

Now that was as funny as a bomb in an orphanage, not only that it was disgusting. Mr McIntyre has cerebral palsy, and it is worth remembering that the Mail has been the “Moral Vanguard” over Frankie Boyle’s comments on Jordan’s son Harvey. So while it is wrong to make a joke about a disabled person on TV it is perfectly fine to make it in a newspaper? Once again this shows the complete Hypocrisy of the Mail, who also today had an article over the “Obscene clothing” worn by Christina Aguilera while running an article on her featuring the line “Wearing a tight black dress that showed plenty of plunging cleavage.”

So according to the Mail it’s little rag is exempt from the “Moral decay” it feels is happening. Oh not forgetting stamping on Paedophiles while running an article perving over the 13 year old daughter of Heather Locklear. Although articles of under-age girls frolicking on the beach are on the website every day you have to eventually wonder what goes through their minds. I Imagine it goes like this:

DM Reporter #1 “Oh lovely photo of Ava Locklear, aw bless she looks so cute with the sunlight glinting off her beautiful brown body”
DM Reporter #2 “Yea we’ll definitely run with this, she looks so good in this photo”
Random person “Phwoar you’re right she looks well stunnin’ with the sun”
DM Reporter #1&2 “PAEDOPHILE IMMIGRANT MUSLIM CANCER CAUSING SCUM!”

The BBC in a rather misguided attempt to pacify Daily Mail readers also had a segment on Jody McIntyre. Now as you may remember I did write about how the BBC were desperate for trouble to break out and John Sopel had to leave the newsdesk and spend 30 minutes locked in a bathroom cubicle as he cracked one off over a fence “Being used as a battering ram” However I fear Ben Brown took it to a new level. The BBC has spun this trouble at the demo out over 4 days now.

However I think in Brown’s head McIntyre was charging at the police line waving a mace over his head shouting “Get some, Pigs!” while sabres, attached to his chair wheels were spinning ready to cut the shins off anyone in the way. Quite simply the media hasn’t moved past the old quote of “You provide the war, I provide the pictures” However now it’s more like “You show me a disabled guy get beaten up by police, and I’ll make out he was a bigger threat than Hitler”
